Curvature

forces at its supports which cannot always be restrained

Advanced design allows some barrel vaults
to be constructed as single layer or lattice structure
depending on the span, rise & loads that apply. Barrel
vaults can be built in place of scaffolding, or constructed
as sub-assemblies & lifted into final position with
or without cladding attached. |
